TVB's anniversary series "No Regrets" aired its 2-hour finale last night. Average rating is 44 points, peaking 47 points. The part where 'Lau Sing' (Wayne Lai) dies on 'Cheng Gau Mui' (Sheren Tang)'s shoulder received the highest peaking point (about 99%/2.996 million viewers stay tuned), making ATV's program received 0 point at one moment.
Although the finale did not break the record Korean drama "Dae Jang Geum" made (50 points), but it did win over its competitor "Can't Buy Me Love"---finale of "Can't Buy Me Love" scored average rating of 42 points, peaking 45 points.
However, "Can't Buy Me Love" did slightly better in overall average rating, where it received 34 points in average compared to 33 points of "No Regrets."
As for online viewing, finale of "No Regrets" has been viewed over 1 million times already. Its official website has been viewed more than 30 million times.
Producer of "No Regrets" Lee Tim Sing received 6 phone calls praising the series and actors' acting. But also 6 complaints at the same time, including 2 complaints about Fala Chen's death drags too much.
Leads of the series Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang are very satisfied with last night's ratings. Wayne expressed they might not able to break the record of "Dae Jang Geum" ever; it is already good with 47 points.
Sheren, who said she will write 'Cheng Gau Mui's name backwards if last night's rating does not break that of "Dae Jang Geum," sighed: "Not that I'm very disappointed. In the past everyone couldn't watch it again online. That's how I can comfort myself."
